Eric Cheng has a well-constructed Kilimanjaro site (as well as an impressive home page). Looking through his pictures, it looks like our summit day was unusually crowded. Perhaps we suffered a bit from it being the very end of the season.

I've been patiently looking through my 900 half-baked snapshots of Tanzania for the three good ones. So when I stumbled across Max Lyons' beautiful images, I was reminded what patient composition and good technical skill can do!

Thanks to the Kodak DC-240 and my new Digital Wallet, I brought back about 900 pictures from the Kilimanjaro expedition. That's a lot of editing to do, but here's one to get started with. When we were at Karanga River camp on our 3rd night, she lifted her skirts for us briefly in the evening.

Been there, done that but I didn't buy the t-shirt yet. They wanted $15 for them at Mweka gate, and I thought that I should get at least two for that price. For anyone considering climbing Kilimanjaro, do not underestimate how much oxygen your body needs to feel comfortable and function well. [from Hotel Impala, Arusha, Tanzania]
