Ethan and Karen washed the new car today, but the big news was that the Tooth Fairy was finally able to take away Ethans loose tooth last night; it's been hanging by a thread for weeks.

When we were putting in posts for our new gate, we found a Stag Beetle grub. I also managed to crack Ethan over the head with a six-foot-long four-by-four timber post, but he survived.

This week we taught Niger and Mrs Chippy how to use the cat flap.

About 4 months ago my friend Martin Day mentioned to me that he had been at an indoor model airplane flying meet. I couldn't believe that model planes had come along so far from the noisy, messy beasts my friend's dad flew when we were kids. I was intrigued, and started looking into electric powered R/C flight. Now we've got a plane and all the gear--mostly from EBay. Ethan gave our Carbon Falcon its maiden flight this morning, and all went well. What a blast!

Ethan's class dressed up as WWII child evacuees today; each went off with name tag, a gass mask box and a small suitcase. Fortunately, he returned at the end of the day.
