Cars and planes. What more could a boy want? We visited Brooklands Museum with the Harwoods today.

I spent the hottest day of the year (so far) at the Farnborough International Airshow, manning SSTL's stand and then viewing the weapons. Everything from the Airbus A380 to the B2 Bomber was there.

One of our wedding gifts was a fire pit, which has been providing lots of back-garden entertainment on the hot evenings.

I rode the Downs Link cycle path to the south coast and back today with Phil, Andy, Chris and Alex. 124km, 6 hours of cycling, 9.5 hours in all. Ouch.

We attended the Movement of Reform Judiasm conference in Leicester this weekend. A wind blew up Sunday morning, and at around 0530 we heard a long powerful ripping sound outside our dorm window. This beautiful Blue Spruce had met its maker.

Ethan and I cycled along the canal this afternoon, stopping to cool our feet at a lock, and eventually taking a welcome swim at a sandy "beach" near Guildford.
