I recommend that you always wear a helmet when cycling. On Tuesday morning, as I rode to work, a car pulled out in front of me on a one-lane road. Rather than hit the car, I hit the brakes, and then the road. My helmet took most of the punishment, but I was left with part of my glasses embedded in my eyebrow. I'm sure that if I hand't been wearing my helmet, my accident would have been much worse. Wear your helmet.
